My Jedi senses are tingling...

Something very dark will be appearing in a week and a half. In the mean time, may the force be with you .

Hawaiian paradise cake

The bottom layer of the cake is an orange flavored cake with a creamy french vanilla filling. The top layer of the cake is a banana cake also filled with the creamy french vanilla yummy-ness. The whole cake was covered with buttercream frosting and then airbrushed.

The hibiscus and plumeria were also airbrushed.

Space shuttle and Astronaut cake

This is a cake that I did for my son's 7th birthday. He is really into NASA, and outer space, so he wanted that on his cake. Since it's midnight, and I'm not feeling all that witty right now, I have nothing else to say... so here's the pictures. Enjoy!

Spring cupcakes

I had the urge a while ago, to make some springy little cupcakes. I wanted a variety of colors and designs since I couldn't decide... so I made 52 cupcakes just because, and had the boys deliver them to the neighbors so I didn't eat them all. I have a serious addiction to cake, cupcakes and treats. I saw an for a Whopper the other day, and my first thought was "Oh funny. Someone made a cheeseburger cake!" Sick. Just sick.

Gibson Firebird Cake

My uncle bought himself a new guitar not that long ago, so when it was time for his birthday, it was a no brainer on what kind of cake to make him. Since I was making the cake at home, and then bringing it to my Grandma's house, I wanted to make the transporting of the cake easier. Knowing me, I'd break the neck off the body on the way there, and then I might just cry. So, I made the neck of the guitar separate from the body of the guitar, and it was detachable. It was super easy to transport this way... and it didn't break!

Welcome to my new happy place!

You know, you can only talk about cake so much to people, before they tune you out and hear "blah blah blah cake blah blah..." So here is my little slice of space to clear my head of cake thoughts. Sad, right?? But I can go on and on, and no one HAS to listen. It's not like if I am in the same room with you and you are slowly backing up step by step to the door to escape my next big cake idea. So, welcome! I hope we have fun together! I know I will have fun anyway... ;)
